NEUVATEK is pleased to announce its participation in
IANA Intermodal Expo 2026, taking place from
September 14 to 16, 2026 in
Long Beach, California.
NEUVATEK will exhibit alongside its technology partners T5TEK Inc. and Edge Semiconductors Inc., presenting an integrated portfolio of intelligent hardware, sensing, connectivity, Edge AI and cloud technologies developed specifically for the transportation, logistics and intermodal industries.
The combined portfolio addresses the complete transportation chain, from trailers and containers to distributed assets, gateways and cloud infrastructure. The solutions are designed to bring greater visibility, security, automation and intelligence to land and sea transportation while operating reliably in demanding industrial environments.
Smart Locks for Trailers and Containers
T5TEK and NEUVATEK will showcase a new generation of intelligent locking solutions developed for commercial trailers, containers and transportation assets. The platform supports applications including roll-up trailer doors, swing doors and container locking, providing electronic access control, remote unlocking, event logging, positioning and connected asset management.
These smart locking technologies are engineered for transportation applications where mechanical robustness, ultra-low-power operation, secure communication and reliable remote access are critical. Cellular, Bluetooth and positioning technologies can be integrated to provide real-time visibility and secure control throughout the transportation journey.
Container and Asset Tracking
The exhibition will feature intelligent tracking platforms designed for containers and mobile assets operating across both land and sea transportation. These solutions combine GNSS positioning, cellular communication, Bluetooth sensing and cloud connectivity to provide continuous visibility of transported assets throughout the logistics chain.
The architecture is designed to support modern intermodal operations, where the same asset may move between trucks, ports, warehouses, rail networks and maritime transportation while maintaining a consistent digital identity and tracking history.
Connected Gateways and Edge AI
NEUVATEK and Edge Semiconductors will also present advanced connected gateways capable of aggregating data from distributed wireless sensors and transferring information to the cloud through cellular and other wide-area communication technologies.
The portfolio includes Edge AI-enabled gateways incorporating high-performance embedded processing and neural processing capabilities. These platforms enable AI algorithms to be executed directly at the edge, allowing local decision-making, classification and event detection without requiring continuous cloud processing.
Edge processing can significantly reduce communication requirements, improve system responsiveness and enable intelligent transportation applications to operate even when cloud connectivity is intermittent or unavailable.
Powerless and Ultra-Low-Power Gateway Technologies
Another focus of the exhibition will be innovative gateway and sensing architectures developed for applications where traditional power sources are limited or unavailable. Ultra-low-power electronics, optimized wireless communication and intelligent power-management techniques enable systems to operate for extended periods while dramatically reducing maintenance requirements.
These technologies open new possibilities for deploying connected intelligence on trailers, containers and transportation infrastructure where installing permanent power or frequently replacing batteries would otherwise be impractical.
Edge Semiconductors Smart Sensor Portfolio
Edge Semiconductors will showcase its growing family of intelligent wireless sensors designed for transportation, logistics and industrial asset monitoring.
The portfolio includes dSens, an ultra-low-power Bluetooth magnetic sensing platform designed for long-term door and position monitoring. dSens provides extremely long battery life while enabling reliable detection of door opening and closing events across transportation and logistics applications.
dSens+ extends the sensing platform with advanced Bluetooth Channel Sounding technology, enabling secure proximity and distance-based applications between connected devices. The technology supports next-generation smart transportation applications requiring more reliable distance awareness than conventional Bluetooth RSSI-based approaches.
mSens provides Bluetooth-based motion and vibration sensing for applications such as asset movement detection, transportation-condition monitoring and equipment activity tracking. The sensor can identify motion and vibration events while maintaining the low-power characteristics required for long-duration deployments.
eSens adds environmental intelligence to the platform, integrating sensing for temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure and VOCs. This enables environmental monitoring of containers, trailers, cargo and storage environments where transportation conditions may directly affect product quality or safety.
Together, the Edge Semiconductors sensor family enables distributed intelligence to be placed directly on doors, containers, cargo and transportation assets, with nearby gateways collecting and processing the information before forwarding selected data to the cloud.
Cloud-Based Transportation Intelligence
The hardware ecosystem is complemented by scalable cloud solutions capable of managing connected devices, transportation assets, positioning information, sensor events and operational data. The platform can support device provisioning, real-time monitoring, alarms, historical records, analytics and integration with customer transportation-management and logistics platforms.
By combining smart locks, trackers, wireless sensors, connected gateways, Edge AI and cloud infrastructure, the three companies are building an integrated technology ecosystem capable of supporting increasingly intelligent and autonomous transportation operations.
From Sensors to Cloud
Visitors to IANA Intermodal Expo 2026 will be able to experience demonstrations of these technologies and discuss how the platforms can be adapted to specific transportation and logistics applications.
NEUVATEK's engineering capabilities allow the technologies to be further customized around customer requirements, covering industrial and mechanical design, electronics, RF engineering, embedded firmware, Edge AI, connectivity and cloud integration.
