About Us

SnifTek is versatile technology for the detection of biomarkers in human breath. Our breath collection and analysis system detects volatile organic compounds associated with disease states, such as cancers, liver disease, kidney disease, diabetes, and pulmonary diseases. Our collection and sensing technology coupled with our machine learning algorithms could provide answers for critical research questions in the clinical sciences.

Through rigorous testing, our team has generated a comprehensive chart showing ratios, relative to ambient air, of sensor measurements for the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) of interest at saturation.

Sniftek technology is based on parallel integration of the latest developments in MOS sensing technologies with artificial intelligence.
Breath samples can be collected directly into the sensor chamber, where an array of sensors gather measurements simultaneously in real time through onboard electronics. These data can be processed using machine learning for diagnostics through pattern recognition.

Sniftek was founded by a group of Colorado State Univeristy (CSU) former engineering students and faculty, in close collaboration with the NEUVATEK Inc. , a professional product design firm, in conjunction with other external advisors . The initial technology development was launched during the students' senior design capstone project with continuous material and know-how support from Neuvatek and the advising team .
